Mrs. Pearson brings an impressive 24 years of experience in public education. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of Schools in Medina Valley ISD for the past year and a half.
Before her tenure at Medina Valley ISD, Mrs. Pearson was the Director of Student Support Services & Family Engagement in San Marcos CISD. Her extensive experience in the San Marcos district spans 21.5 years, during which she held several key positions, including six years as a Middle School Principal/Associate Principal, five years as a district instructional coach, and nine years as a third-grade teacher. Additionally, she served as an Assistant Principal at Seele Elementary in New Braunfels ISD for one year.
Mrs. Pearson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Education from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Commerce, and a Superintendent’s Certification from Texas State University in San Marcos. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education from Houston Christian University.
On a personal note, Mrs. Pearson has been married for 29 years to Daniel Pearson, a Program Manager for the United States Geological Survey. They are proud parents of three sons: Daniel Jr., a full-time student at Texas State University; Elijah, who is studying international business and playing football at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio; and Jonah, who will be entering the eighth grade at Carrizo Springs Junior High this fall.
